DouYu reports revenue of 7.108 billion yuan in 2020, down over 20% YoY
On March 20, DouYu International Holding Limited (Nasdaq: DOYU, hereinafter referred to as DouYu) released its unaudited financial statements for the fourth quarter and full year of 2022.

We concluded the year with steady business performance through a mix of operational adaptations, including revenue optimization, a selective copyright procurement strategy, and investments in self-produced content. In the fourth quarter, our mobile MAUs were 57.4 million, a slight increase over the prior quarter. Looking ahead, we will dedicate ourselves to driving growth based on our content ecosystem as we prioritize content enrichment and community-wide interactions to boost user stickiness and retention, other than emphasizing the short-term growth of our business. Building on our continuous efforts to cultivate high-quality game-centric content and engage core users, we will strive to maintain our leading position in Chinas live-streaming gaming industry while exploring new growth avenues, propelling DouYus healthy and sustainable development, Chen added.
Among them, DouYu achieved revenue in the fourth quarter of 1.681 billion yuan, exceeding the market expectation of 1.677 billion yuan, compared with 2.327 billion yuan in the same period of last year, a decrease of about 27.8%; net profit was 41.8 million yuan, compared with a loss of 193 million yuan in the same period of last year; non-GAAP net loss was 4.3 million yuan, compared with non-GAAP net loss of – million yuan in the same period of last year.
DouYus total revenue for last year was 7.108 billion yuan, compared with 9.165 billion yuan in the same period of last year, a decrease of about 22.44%; net loss was 90.4 million yuan, compared with 620 million yuan in the same period of last year, a significant narrowing; after adjustment, net loss was 7.6 million yuan, compared with 439 million yuan in the same period of last year.
