FAW Toyota achieves production milestone with 10 millionth car
Founded in 1953 in the northeastern city of Changchun, capital of Jilin Province, FAW Group is seen as the cradle of Chinas auto industry. It also has joint ventures with carmakers such as Volkswagen.
FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. reached a milestone in its output on Monday with the 10 millionth vehicle rolling off its production line, the company said.
Despite the epidemic, in the first 10 months of this year, FAW Toyotas cumulative output of vehicles increased by 10 percent year on year, said Huang Yong, executive deputy general manager of the company.
The 10 millionth car produced by the company, a joint venture between China FAW Group Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corp., was a new-energy vehicle and was built in the companys production base in north Chinas Tianjin Municipality.
