The total external trade in goods of the Philippines in January 2022 amounted to 15.08 billion U.S. dollars, which represents an increment of 4.1 percent from the 14.48 billion U.S. dollars external trade in the same month of the previous year.
China was the Philippines biggest supplier of imported goods in January 2022 with 25.5 percent share to the total imports in January 2022, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Tuesday.

China also was the Philippines fourth-largest export trade partner in January 2022 with 685.58 million U.S. dollars export value.
Data from the PSA showed the countrys trade deficit stood at 3.50 billion U.S. dollars, 10.7 percent lower than the 3.92 billion U.S. dollars deficit in January 2022.
